This one is hot with a side of romance! Two damaged souls coming together to heal each other and work though their crazy together. That's usually a formula for a great read, and this was no exception.
Alayna has a history with men, and not that kind of history. She gets attached, really attached. So attached that she has become a stalker, more than once. Lots of therapy has helped her break that cycle, but she also doesn't allow herself to feel anything for men anymore either. So when Hudson shows up in her life and she feels instantly drawn to him she wants to run and fast. Hudson, however, has other ideas. His eye is set on Alayna and he wants her, but without a romantic relationship. The kicker here? He also wants to pay her to pretend to be his girlfriend so he can convince his bitch of a mother that he is capable of loving someone so she doesn't force him to get married, even though he doesn't believe he is capable of love either. Hudson makes it very clear to Alyana when they are "on duty" or "off duty" and constantly reminds her of the distinction.
Want to know if Alayna slips? If Hudson is really incapable of love? Well, get to reading! The journey this book takes you on is wonderful, I cringed, I smiled, I even shed a few tears. This is the first book in a trilogy but leaves you feeling satisfied at his conclusion. Book two, Found In You is due out October 1, 2013 and I know I plan on finding out more about Hudson and Alayna!
