I love this series! This is the fifth installment of the Brethren of the Coast and the books keep getting better. This is Jason and Lady Alex's story. The previous book left unresolved issues with these two and Alex attempted to remedy the situation at the beginning of the story. I'm always impressed with how Devlin paints the scenery to make me feel as if I traveled back in time.

I was excited to read their story and all the challenges these two strong-minded characters presented. When the synopsis stated Alex was so stubborn, she proved to Jason that she was useful in his house and helped the housekeeper with daily chores, I knew this book would not disappoint! Their interactions were comical and the intimate scenes were very heated. This book gave me everything I wanted in a historical fiction. I am looking forward to reading more from Devlin.
So many emotions ran through me while I read this book. I loved Raven, I hated him, and then I loved him again. Rinse and repeat. I was surprised this book swept me up emotionally like that. I was hoping to learn more about Raven's past battles with addiction and about what makes Lexi's mom tick. But that didn't happen as Doporto had other ideas and took me on a ride that I was willing to take. I definitely was not disappointed. This is not a standalone so make sure you check out the first two books in the series: Opposing Sides and Same Side. While it wasn't my favorite in the series, it had some really awesome parts.

I really do love this series though. Anyone who loves to read New Adult would enjoy these books. I loved that this book didn't give me what I was expecting when I first started reading. I was also excited to hear there will be another book in this series but from Raven's POV! I am definitely looking forward to that. Hurry up and read so you can get caught in the Raven's trap!
After everything blew up on Christmas, Liz walked away from me, and I let her. She said she needed space and a chance to pursue her dreams. But we both knew she was running from the mess she made. Now the political campaign she used as an excuse to leave is bringing us back together and I’m proving to her what she really needs—not just the hot nights, greedy hands, and undeniable physical chemistry. What she really needs is something real. What she really needs…is me.
You know when your reading a book and you have it all figured out by like the third chapter? Yeah, that is so not what happened when I read Something Reckless! I thought I had it figured out, and I was so wrong. And I loved it! Consider this your fair warning though, this is the first part of a 2 book series and there is a huge cliffhanger here. Don't worry though, you only have to wait until March 2014 for resolution.

This had duel POVs and I personally love this type of story telling. The boys have a lot to give to a story and Sam was no exception! I really loved him and his dominant and slightly kinky bedroom style. Sam is the typical player not looking for commitment. This worked well for Liz since when they hooked up all she was looking for was a good time too. Who doesn't want to have a good time after a wedding? I enjoyed watching the shift in the relationship between Sam and Liz from pre hook up to post hook up.

Liz has come to a point in her life where she wants to just settle down and be happy like her friends, thus she gives the new online dating service a try and meets riverrat69. Her relationship with riverrat was interesting. Riverrat and Liz build a relationship that starts off friendly and turns into something a bit more than just friends. The anonymity of their cyber relationship I really felt helped Liz open up to him.

The Reckless and Real series is a spin off from Lexi Ryan's New Hope series, just like the Here and Now series was. While the Reckless and Real series can be read as a satisfying stand alone series, I strongly recommend reading the other two series first. Then again I love series, I hate letting characters go, so I might be a little biased!
From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Jay Crownover, comes the second book in a combustible new series, Welcome to the Point, that is sexier, darker, and better than ever.

There’s a difference between a bad boy and a boy who is bad. . . . Welcome to the Point.

In a dark and broken kingdom, a ruler has be fearless to control the streets and the ruthless people who run them. Race Hartman is just bold enough, just smart enough, and just lost enough to wear the crown. Places like The Point will always have bad things and bad people, but the man in control of all that badness can minimize the devastation. Race has a plan, but can he prevent total annihilation without destroying himself?

Brysen Carter has always seen the real Race—a guy too pretty, too smooth, and way too dangerous. Basking in his golden glow is very tempting, but Brysen knows she’ll eventually get burned. She has enough problems without the risky danger and mayhem that comes with a guy like Race. Too bad Brysen faces a threat close to home that might be more dangerous than anything The Point has ever produced.. And the only person interested in keeping her safe is the one man she can’t allow herself to have.

Sometimes being bold is the only way to stay alive. But can she let Race save her life . . . if it means losing herself to him?
Jay Crownover is the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of the Marked Men and The Point series. Like her characters, she is a big fan of tattoos. She loves music and wishes she could be a rock star, but since she has no aptitude for singing or instrument playing, she'll settle for writing stories with interesting characters that make the reader feel something. She lives in Colorado with her three dogs.

Have you fallen into the Raven's trap? I have! This is the second installment of the University Park series by CM Doporto. It picks right up where book 1, Opposing Sides, left off. Raven and Lexi are together, but it's not so simple. Her parents and his past are the main obstacles that are testing their relationship. Lexi has been attempting to be the perfect child for her mother for a long time. Now, she's living on the edge with Raven for a bit as Christmas break nears. It's a really great read. If you haven't read this series, I recommend starting with book 1 because you may get a bit lost as character history is assumed. But I like it. It's like I'm in on the little secrets and I know how far Lexi has come. She has a very dysfunctional family that is mentioned a bit in this book as well as the first. I have a feeling we'll be learning more about her mother as the series progresses. However, we get to learn more about Raven in this book. And wow, Doporto definitely delivers some whoppers about this college quarterback hunk.
Wow! What a read. I have a long list of book boyfriends and I didn't think anyone can be added to that list, but then Cheri Lewis introduced me to Tank. He's totally on my list now. He reminded me of so many bad boy characters that I love (Kristen Ashley's Dream Man series and Rock Chick series, Cindy Gerard's Black Ops series, JD Nixon's Heller series and Tara Jansen's Steele Street series... let's just say Tank, aka Tatum Osborne is in good company!). I had a great time reading this book. In fact, I got absolutely nothing accomplished until I finished the book. And then I kept thinking about the characters that I didn't get much accomplished for the rest of the day. That's how you know you just read a great book; when the characters stick with you.

It was fast-paced fun that I wouldn't mind reading again. Soon. I am famous for trying to figure out the "whodunnit" part of the book before it's revealed, but I found myself not even wanting to do that in this book. I just wanted to experience everything as it happened and not miss a moment of it. Cheri keeps her readers hooked by providing great dialogue, awesome characters, and a great plot.
About the Author

USA Today Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky southern woman and reformed trial lawyer who decided to finally start putting on paper all of the stories that were floating in her head. She is married to a mobster (well, a market researcher) and they have two big, furry dogs who hog the bed. Does size really matter?

Two women spin a tale of comedy and new beginnings after they wake up and find themselves in a jail cell over 3000 miles away from home. Rehashing their adventure in front of a less-than-sympathetic judge, they give a laugh-out-loud and extremely detailed story of a road trip that finds them in a ton of trouble.

Battling age, weight, and their own personal demons, not only do they discover the open road and a life they misplaced somewhere in their 20s, they also find themselves. From breakups and stealing cars to blurry memories of something that might have happened in New Mexico, these two women will take you on a real journey, full of fun and, well, situations that people only write about and never really do….or do they?

Excerpt

Prologue

Twitter: That awkward moment when you wake up in jail and you wonder what you did to get there. Then smile. #TripleX
A lone dimly lit light bulb sways gently from the jail cell’s ceiling. It hurts to open my eyes toward it, so I squint to try to ease the pain. A handful of loudly buzzing insects fly wildly around the dull yellow globe and just the sight causes me to scratch at my arms and neck madly. I loathe bugs. And it's like Swarmageddon above my head right now.
Pulling myself up into a sitting position, the throbbing behind my eyes turns sharp and shatters into millions of razor-tipped tiny pieces of glass. I moan as I grab my head in pounding pain. The room spins, and I fall back with a hard thud against the cold concrete wall.
I hear footsteps, heavy and impending, walking along the rough cement of the hallway. I peek through my fingers, but all I can see is the knotted hair of my cellmate, my partner in crime.
The footsteps become louder, closer. Keys are jangling. Someone is whistling, and the screech of the rusty cell door makes scorching bile burn the back of my throat. I swallow twice to keep it down.
"Stone. Zolendz. Up-and-at-'em. Going before the judge," a deep voice bellows. I hate the man instantly.
I believe I moan out some sort of unintelligible sound, but I'm not sure. Who can be sure?
The dull bulb overhead flickers and makes a sizzling sound. Damn, I'm in a place where even the bugs are killing themselves. "Come on ladies, let's go," the voice yells. It's closer now, and the body attached to it starts kicking the wooden bench I'm sitting on. I think my head is going to explode from the vibrations and violent crashes that echo through my head. "What's the matter, not willing to offer up your goods this morning?"
My head snaps up, "Excuse me?"
The man standing over me is older, in his sixties with a long gray beard. His eyes dance with laughter. "Well, Ma'am. That's what you tried to bribe us with last night when we put you in here. Your goooooooods." He kind of shimmies a little and gives a few humps into the air. I vomit a little in my mouth.
"Oh my God. Seriously? Just don't...just don't pay any attention to anything I said, okay?" I mumble my mortification.
"You mean to tell me, you'll be cancelling our hot date tonight?" he laughs, snidely, mocking me. "Come on, Darlin' the judge is waiting on you both. No harm done last night, you both were quite intoxicated."
"Oh God, I think I'm going to be sick." Slowly, I pull myself off the bench, every bone in my body screaming for a few more hours of silently sound sleep. And really, that stupid light bulb is annoying the Hell out of me; someone needs to shoot it.
"Angelisa," I whisper and shake her awake. "Come on. We have to go. A judge wants to see us."
"Blah...Ha. Ha. Very funny. Lemme sleep," Angelisa groans and swats her hand at me. It falls to her side with a loud thwack against the metal rim of the bed.
"I can't. Clear your head and think about last night. Think back. Go ahead," I urge. She doesn't. She remains motionless and silent; all but a small, low snore can be heard. "You seriously need to open your eyes right now, because we're in trouble," I hiss ominously.
Her head slowly turns toward me, eyes blinking open. They dart around the room and widen; a bubble of laughter escapes her lips. "We're in jail, aren't we?"
I smile and join in with her laughter, "We are indeed, waking up together in a jail cell."
"Damn it, I can't go to prison. You know how horrible I look in stripes," she whispers as she climbs up to her feet, grabbing onto my shoulder and using me for leverage.
"Quick," I look around the cell and laugh, "anybody got a cell phone? I wanna take a cellfie."
And we try, we really do try not to fall back down into a fit of giggles, but it's way too hard. We follow the guard down the hallway.
“Dude, I could so be a violent criminal.” Angelisa mumbles. “Shouldn’t you cuff me? Why doesn’t anyone ever want to handcuff me, Chris?” she whines.
“Ummm, she’s not violent. We swear. She’s just…just…dumb.” I explain, nudging her.
“Seriously though, how does he know I’m not packing an oozie in my girly stuff?”
“Ya know that is true. It’s kind of sexist that you don’t think we could be hiding heat?”
“Ladies, the only thing you two are trying to hide…or hide from is good old-fashioned middle age. And quite frankly, neither one of you is doing a bang-bang up job of it,” the son-of-a-slut says, pretending to shoot us.
“Is that what you do now? Shoot blanks?” Angelisa quips, exploding in laughter that spirals out of control until we’re both laughing like lunatics.
“Enough!” he shouts, trying to silence us before we enter the courtroom.
The two of us are still giggling like two immature kids being brought in front of the principal. Matted hair, mascara-streaked cheeks, and barefoot. I’m pretty sure I even have an extra tattoo somewhere.
We're sworn in; big vocabulary is used. Case numbers are brought forth, and I almost fall asleep. I’m just about to face plant into the table with exhaustion when Judge Caroline Jacobson calls both of us up to the podium. "Ms. Zolendz. Ms. Stone. Approach the bench please." She has dark tired brown eyes, the kind that are weighed down with darker brown bags beneath them. Her light blonde hair is pulled back into a tight, painful looking bun. It's streaked with gray. I want to pull out all those restraining pins. I want her to stop feeling so tight and tense behind her bench. I want her to feel free like me, like us.
Almost as if Angelisa’s reading my thoughts, she mumbles, “Man, she needs to get laid…and needs to get those roots done.” I can’t control the giggle that escapes me. The judge eyes us sternly, and you can nearly hear our mouths snap shut.
"As I hear, you both were found in the fountains of the Bellagio last night. Swimming. Naked," she chirps.
"Yes, that's true," Angelisa giggles, proudly next to me.
I nod my head in agreement, "Yeah, that certainly sounds like us—well, the new us, anyway."
The judge pinches her lips into a tight pucker. Doesn't she realize that’s exactly what makes those little wrinkles all around her mouth? She pulls out an envelope marked Prisoner Property/Currency and unfastens the clasp. I suck my lips between my teeth to stop myself from laughing, because this isn't funny—at all. But if I remember correctly, the things in the envelope are.
She slips one dainty little hand in.
Angelisa and I lean forward to watch.
Two books of matches, fifty-six dollars, a bent wedding ring, a fake moustache, a shoehorn, four glow sticks, two “Call for a good time” prostitute cards, a tube of Ben-gay, and an extra large rubbery dildo that flops on its side when she places it on her desk.
"Do you want to explain to me why two fully grown women, respected in their fields, would be caught in this situation…with these items?"
Angelisa and I look and back and forth from her to each other and back again. We both shrug.
"Well, it all started with an apple pie," I smile.
Angelisa nods next to me, "Yes, definitely. That's probably where it all started, the apple pie fiasco."
The judge leans back and draws in a long breath. She pulls her glasses off her fatigued eyes and rubs them softly with her hands. "An apple pie?"
"Yes. A forgotten apple pie. I can tell you every detail except for three or four days where I have no recollection. Both of us can, it's what we do, tell stories."
The corner of the judge's lips curl up the tiniest bit, "Come into my chambers ladies, this I have to hear."

he murmurs against my ear. “Is this the one where we pretend we don’t want each

I really loved this book! Like, a lot. A hot cowboy is always good, right? And a hot cowboy who also happens to be awesome and sweet and romantic? What can make that better? The fact that he is slightly tortured by his past just makes him way more intriguing.

I also really admired Tess. Who hasn't wanted to run away and escape when things suck? I know I sure have, but have never had the guts to actually do it. She hopes to get away for a few weeks to clear her head and reevaluate her life. But what does she find? New love? A new career? Or do things just get worse and worse, making her realize how good she actually had it? You’ll have to read to find out what actually happened, but I can tell you it was an awesome read filled with romance, humor, mystery, and a few twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat.

I didn’t know what to expect when I started this book. I usually have very low expectations when it comes to new authors, but I was pleasantly surprised! Tess in Boots really drew me in right from the beginning, and I couldn’t put it down. That is always a good sign. The ones that keep me up reading until 2AM when I have work the next day…a GREAT sign. Needless to say, I was walking around like a zombie the day after I finished this book, but it was totally worth it. Absolutely put this one on your TBR list!!
A.L. Jackson is the New York Times bestselling author of Take This Regret and Lost to You, as well as other contemporary romance titles, including Come to Me Quietly, Come to Me Softly, Pulled, When We Collide, and If Forever Comes.

She first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student. She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.

Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends and, with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel. A.L. now spends her days writing in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three children. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.
He was everything she never wanted. Yet, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
Soulful, amber eyes

A sex, drugs, and rock n’roll reputation

A body that beckoned for sin

Three years ago Rochelle Floros was living her dream come true… then lost it all. On the worst day of her life, the last person she expected to be there for her was a rock star and tabloid favorite. Now, she’s trying to rebuild her life after the tragedy that destroyed her fairytale. Slowly, she found herself captivated by a sexy, bad boy drummer she had known for years.

Rochelle was caught between the grief that shrouded her heart and the charismatic man that made it race. What she didn’t know is if he was being sincere or toying with her heart. The Redemption is about finding the pulse of your soul in the most unlikely places and giving love a chance to grow.

Can what she wants really be what she needs? With his rhythm and her passion, can they make music together? Or will their harmony be lost forever?

I pull my hand away slowly, leaving all the feelings we were developing behind in
the palm of his hand. “The timing is wrong.”
“Bullshit!”
Startled, I jump in my seat.
Lowering his voice, he says, “That’s a cop out. I know you feel something for me.
I see how you react because I also feel it when I’m around you. There’s something here
and you’re just scared.”
“Scared of what?”
“Scared to have a life without Cory and thinking you have to justify it to others.
The problem with that is that when you start justifying it, it will make you feel like your
love for Cory was less. It wasn’t. It’s just different. He’s not here, Rochelle.”
“Stop it. Stop talking about Cory and take me home.”
“Now you want to stop talking about him?” He looks surprised. “I can’t win with
you when it comes to him.” He shifts the car into drive.
“This is not a competition, Dex.”
Disappointment slides onto his face. “Then why is he being shoved in my face
every time we make a move?”
“This is one of the reasons why we won’t work. We see things very differently.”
“One of the reasons? Name another because from where I sit, we fit like two
puzzle pieces clicking together.”
“You’re a supposed recovering addict. You have sex with anyone who offers.
“That’s it. Right there. You play like you know who I am, but you don’t. That’s
why the lies are so easily believed. I can tell what you’re doing. You’re giving me an out
that I don’t want. You’re allowing yourself to believe the worst about me to ease your
conscience, but it won’t—”
“You know what? A Heartless design is the first in the Secrets of the Zodiac series. We have mystery, romance, secrets... my kind of book. I don't often read historical romances; however, sometimes a synopsis will have me intrigued so I feel compelled to read it. I'm really glad I read this book. Cordelia is a strong female character who is considered a spinster (unmarried at 27 in the early 1800's) but not because she hasn't had proposals. She, in fact, has been proposed to by an earl and a prince among many other men. Yet, she turns them down. Why? Well, she has a secret and it must be kept. Sebastian Thorne, a spy for the Crown, crosses paths with Cordelia which makes for a fun read. He's immediately taken with Cordelia but with his lifestyle as a spy, he doesn't know if he can balance the role of a husband with his demanding job.

I found myself reading nonstop. This was an interesting concept and I easily found myself feeling as if I was there in the 19th century along with the characters. I kind of wished there was more back story for the maid, footman, and butler. I felt they could have had a story themselves or that there could have been a novella set before this book that showed how they came to be Cordelia's employees. I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be reading the others in the series.
I never thought I'd say these words, but I think Sawyer Bennett may have made me a hockey fan. The way she described the game though Sutton's eyes was beyond amazing. I really want to go to a hockey game now! Or maybe it was just Alex Crossman that is peaking my interest. Alex is the angry broody type, I actually really didn't like him at first. However, once Ms. Bennett started pealing back all of his layers I was done for. Underneath that angry man was a heart of gold.

Sutton was an amazing leading lady. Strong and confident, despite her own demons. She was exactly the type of woman I've come to expect from Bennett. Sutton had a hard start in life, but through her family she found a way to over come it and help others though similar situations. Learning about Sutton's past, and Jim-Dad's role in her life really warmed my heart. I wish every kid who has to struggle for even a second in life could have a Jim-Dad. I'm hoping that one day Sawyer will decide to treat us all with a little novela (heck, I'd even take a short story) about Jim-Dad coming into Sutton and her mom's life.

Book two in the Cold Fury Hockey series is due out on February 17, 2014, and this time we get to learn all about Garrett! In Alex, Garrett really stole the show for me. He quickly became my favorite character for his snarky comments, tender heart, and his pushy, yet caring ways. The glimpses we got of Garrett in Alex were great, I am betting his story is going to be fantastic!
Hockey star Alexander Crossman has a reputation as a cold-hearted player on and off the rink. Pushed into the sport by an alcoholic father, Alex isn’t afraid to give fans the proverbial middle finger, relishing his role as the MVP they love to hate. Management, however, isn’t so amused. Now Alex has a choice: fix his public image through community service or ride the bench. What she doesn’t expect is the arrogant smirk from his perfect lips to stir her most heated fantasies. But Sutton isn’t one to cross professional boundaries—and besides, Alex doesn’t do relationships . . . or does he? The more she sees behind Alex’s bad-boy façade, the more Sutton craves the man she uncovers.

Review

USA Today Best-Selling author, Sawyer Bennett, is a snarky

the bed. Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can

But Alex refuses to be molded into the Carolina Cold Fury poster boy . . . not even by a tempting redhead with killer curves.
I don't even know where to start with Shawn. Holy swoon.
Definitely my new book boyfriend. His selflessness and thoughtfulness
throughout this book made every man I've ever met pale in comparison. (Don't tell
my husband!) He is the whole package, sweet, compassionate and hot!! I really
hope there is more of these characters to come! There is spinoff potential
hidden throughout the story and if that happens I'll be beyond thrilled. This
is hands down my favorite book of the summer! Though it does have a very difficult
story line, be warned, it contains possible triggers.

It isn't often you come across a story that strikes you as truly unique, but Sawyer Bennett has done it with Uncvilized. Zach is everything an Alpha male should be. He doesn't know that being anything different is even a possibility. Life in Amazonia is all about control, and that is exactly what Zach thrives on. Moria is a modern woman. Strong, independent, and self sufficient, nothing like the women Zach is used to. The interplay between Moria and Zach was perfect. They challenged each other in all the right ways.

If you are looking for a super hot super steamy read, Uncivilized is for you! If your looking for a romance with a different twist, Uncivilized is for you too! A lot of books in this genre lack in the overall story line, but is not the case here at all. You could remove every single sexy scene and be left with a solid story that would be just as captivating!

Check yes! Loved the book. Somewhere Between Water & Sky started out with mystery and some really dark emotions. I was like, "Wow, let's jump right into this!" I really didn't know what to expect from this book. As I kept reading it, I found myself saying, "This would be an awesome back story" or "I hope we find out more about these other characters". Well. Um. Apparently this is the second book. The first is called Every Shattered Thing. Even though there's a first book to it, Somewhere Between Water & Sky can be read as a stand alone and still be an awesome story. I'm just greedy when I find a great book. I just wanted more from the back story because everything else in the plot was full of details. Now that I know there's a book before it, I'm definitely going to check it out so I can reread this book. That's just me though. After I find that a book I read was not the first one in the series, I go back and read those and then reread the one I first got. It's my thing. And it totally gets me loving the book even more the second time around.

So back to this review. I kind of geeked out when I noticed a couple of Doctor Who and Sherlock references. As a Whovian, I had to smile. Every. Time. But seriously, that was just an added bonus because the story is really good. I physically felt that torment that Stephanie, the main character, was going through. She is a strong character (which I love!) and has been through Hell and back with emotional scars to prove it. Seriously, this book was a roller coaster ride - not the deep valleys and peaks, but being at the top of the roller coaster to only find out it goes even higher. What suspense! My adrenaline was pumping the whole time. Anything that can get a reaction like that from me, where I feel for the characters and has tons of suspense, deserves my recommendation. check it out today!
buzzes me awake.
“…hello?” I scratch out a greeting, confused and squinting against
the sun peeking through the hotel blinds.
Note to self: shut the curtains
tonight before going to bed.
“Stephanie.
Don’t freak out, but Ren and I are down in
the lobby. We’re taking a day trip to San Diego.
Come with us to Sunset Cliffs?”
My heart slams in my chest. I pull the
phone away from my ear and stare at the screen and see The Best Friend You
Never Knew You Had as the contact name.
“What
in the actual fuck?”
“…she’s freaking out.” Jessa
whispers away from the receiver.
“I
can still hear you. How’d you get my number?”
“Listen.
We’re not crazy, just curious, and I may
have followed you home last night after work. Oh and um…never
leave your phone unattended at work. Just trust me. I saved you from many a
picture last night. You’re welcome.”
I wrinkle my nose.
“I’m
so confused right now.”
“Understandable.
But you should also be excited. Two strange people are waiting for you in the
lobby to take you on a road trip! It’s like Ren’s
dream movie role.”
I hear him snort in the background.
“Seriously?”
Ren’s
voice cuts through the line, low and rumbly.
“What
will it be, Stephanie? The red pill? Or the blue pill?”
I hear shuffling and Jessa pushing him
away.
“Don’t.
Be. Weird, Ren. I told you. Harness the Nerd.”
He just laughs and mentions something
about grabbing a muffin from the continental breakfast area.
What the hell?
“Jessa…I
don’t know you.”
“Fact.”
“You
could kill me.”
“Not
possible. But I can see how that scenario would play through your mind right
now.”
“Do
you normally try and kidnap strays who live in hotel rooms?”
“This
isn’t kidnapping, sweetheart. And you’re
not a stray. This is a rescue mission. You need fun! You mope and grow all
self-reflective at the coffee shop. It’s starting to freak customers out.”
“Wait.
Really?”
She laughs. “No.
But. You do dart around like you’re ready to run at a moment’s
notice. And, chalk it up to my dad being a professional counselor, but I can
spot the ones who need some extra attention.”
“You’re
calling me broken.”
“I’m
calling you needing a friend.”
“I
can’t believe I’m
actually considering this.”
“I’m
very convincing butplusalsotoo I think you just really want to get out
of that stuffy hotel room. Come onnnnnn. It’ll
be fun. See you when you get down here.”
She doesn’t
even let me respond. She hangs up and I sit there, staring at the ceiling, the
phone still stuck to my ear. I didn’t even talk to her for five minutes
and I’m already exhausted. What would a
whole day be like? I smile and jump out of bed, grabbing the nearest and
cleanest clothing I can find. Throwing my hair into a pony tail, I brush my
teeth, slide on some lip gloss and walk out the door. It’s
only after I get to the elevator that I realize exactly what I’m
doing and I laugh under my breath.

Yep. Certifiable.

Wow. She's done it again. Completely shocked. The Ana Martin series has a way of making me hold my breath longer than is healthy. There were so many actions scenes that had me completely engrossed to the point where I didn't even want to blink, but I also had to fight the urge to close my eyes and hide in anticipation - almost like during a really suspenseful scene in a horror movie.

hen I finished The Night of the Fae I couldn't really figure out where the next book would go, but man oh man. This book was so action packed and full of twists and turns it made me dizzy, In a great way!!

I can't wait to see where book three leads. Will this turn into the most deadly love triangle ever?? Will Ana survive any more heartache? Will she give up and run into hiding??! I'm not usually one for "supernatural" books but Lyneal Jenkins has this amazing way of making the supernatural seem completely real and natural. It just feels like I'm reading an AWESOME thriller/drama. Definitely add this series to your TBR list!
**Warning: This book is a wild, sexy beast of a read. 18+**

Putting a woman on her knees before me is what really makes my cock hard. I fuck with dominant force and absolute control. I demand complete surrender from my conquests.
Savage man, loner, warrior… I am dangerous at my core. I have lived amidst the untamed wild of the rainforest, in a society that reveres me and where every woman falls before me in subjugation.
Now I’ve been discovered. Forced to return to a world that I have forgotten about and to a culture that is only vaguely familiar to my senses.
Dr. Moira Reed is an anthropologist who has been hired to help me transition back into modern society. It’s her job to smooth away my rough edges… to teach me how to navigate properly through this new life of mine. She wants to tame me.
She’ll never win.
I am wild, free and raw, and the only thing I want from the beautiful Moira Reed is to fuck her into submission.
She wants it, I am certain.
I will give it to her soon.
Yes, very soon, I will become the teacher and she will become my student. And when I am finished showing her body pleasure like no other, she’ll know what it feels like to be claimed by an uncivilized man.

Review

Sawyer would like to report she doesn’t have many weaknesses but can be bribed with a nominal amount of milk chocolate.
<span 18px="" font-family:="" inherit="" line-height:="">I'm not sure I can do justice to the awesomeness that was Sugar On the Edge, but I'll try. Gavin Cooke is sexy in all the right ways, he has the body, the face.... the accent. He is also delightfully kinky! I may have started off reading Sugar on the Edge with a major dislike for Gavin, in the first few chapters there isn't much to like about him. He is angry, rude, and drunk pretty much the entire time. Then you learn more about Gavin, and you fall in love. Then you see his filthy side, and your hooked! Savannah is the type of female I've come to expect and love from Sawyer Bennett. Strong and confident, but still maintaining a gentile feminine side.

<span 18px="">I really enjoyed how the relationship between Gavin and Savannah progressed. It wasn't the typical love at first sight, yet it wasn't a courtship full of tons of angst either. It was a welcomed change. I also loved how hot things were between them! Gavin definitely has a creative mind, and I'm not talking about his author side!

<span 18px="">Just an added little tid bit here, for those of you who loved Brody in Make it a Double, you'll get a good dose of him here too. Its impossible not the adore that man!
